lisa + matt 7.11.09

the amazing lisa & matt were married on a gorgeous saturday afternoon at a church in the highlands, the tented reception followed at sandy hook! this couple pulled off quite the shindig! the girls wore peacock blue and carried dahlia filled bouquets and the guys wore khaki suits and boutonnieres with sea glass! the ceremony was a traditional catholic mass with a few twists, the couple's processional was the newlywed game show theme song played by a groomsman and when it came to their big exit from the church the couple opted for a serenade of kazoos rather than the traditional bubbles! it was awesome and suited this fun couple to a t! when it came time for the portraits we were able to get some really great pics at fort hancock in front of all the old buildings! the reception was gorgeous... simple + fresh flowers filled mason jars, food was served in modern glass vases, cutlery in large glass bowls filled with river rock, metal pails filled with salt water taffy served as favors and seating cards, the photo booth was a huge hit and there were even props for people to dress up in for pics! lisa & matt's first dance song by the beatles was performed by a close and talented friend and they had a 9 piece band play for the rest of the evening! one of my favorite ideas of the night was the bouquet toss, instead of a single bouquet, lisa used single flowers with funny tags attached like "you will marry a rockstar" and when they were thrown each person got a flower and an interesting take on their future mr. right. but the biggest, coolest most amazing thing of all was the mr. softee ice cream truck pulling up after cake! it was a huge hit, ice cream cones were served to all and lisa & matt even got in on the action and served up some cones... it was a delicious and perfect ending for the most perfect wedding! i had been looking forward to shooting this wedding for some time and it did not disappoint, it was a true delight! i wish l+m all my love!

Hi Kella! These shots are beautiful...I love the muted, beachy feel of them.

Quick question...Would it be possible for you to ask the bride what the designer and style of her bridesmaids' dresses are? And post it in the comments here? (Or maybe she can, if she reads this...) My sister is getting married next summer and we're looking for dresses like the ones her girls wore.

Thanks! Karen
