kristin + paul 1.4.13

this awesome couple was married on one of the coldest days of the year right after a snow storm! kristin + paul had their wedding at the historic abbie holmes estate and a winter theme was present throughout. kristin wore a vintage inspired lace dress and carried a beautiful {but very heavy} bouquet and paul wore a classic black suit and navy tie. the ceremony was surrounded by christmas trees, dangling snow flakes and a window with a view of the snow! they had a friend marry them {a trend i'm seeing more often and loving} the couple braved the icy cold for some photos on the porch and the rest we took throughout the estate. the reception included place cards in various shades of blue & grey, handmade paper fortune tellers for guests and lace covered candle holders sat in place of traditional floral centerpieces! bags of nuts wrapped in chevron paper served as favors and guests were also treated to a hot chocolate bar and cupcakes! some great dancing by the grandfather of the bride & fun music, i think i even heard a little boyz to men in there made for a festive and memorable night for all! congrats k + p! xo

melissa + gary 12.14.13

the deeply in love melissa & gary were married in a blizzard! not some rinky dink snow shower, but an official storm with a name - electra! they were married at the most picturesque setting - highlands country club in ny and everything in sight was blanketed in snow. melissa wore a beautiful gown with lace shawl and had snow boots at the ready, she even had a family heirloom - a bear fur coat to keep her warm. her mother and sister wore fur coats and boots too - so cute! we braved the snow and got some cool {literally - 14 degrees} and quick {it was very wet snow} photos with some evergreens and a barn on the property. guests showed up in yellow school buses and the ceremony began.. the reception was filled with candles and lanterns and mini evergreens held table numbers and stems of the trees held menus in place.
guests were treated to handmade coaster sets and smore's made in the tavern's fireplace! oh and the most beautiful "un-iced" fruit covered cake! such a dreamy, winter wedding spent with a special couple.. just perfect timing for christmas! congrats m + g!
