rachael + alex 10.7.12

the super in love rachael + alex were married on a sunday in upstate, ny! the wedding was held at apple barn farm, a picturesque spot in germantown. the couple chose lavender, blue and red for their colors and mixed floral bouquets. the guys wore grey suits with vests and alex sported blue suede shoes! the jewish ceremony was held outside near the pond and shawls were provided for the chilly weather. guests were treated to hot apple cider & donuts and with a wooden sign that requested they pick a seat, not a side {love that!} rachael was "driven" up by her parents in a vintage turquoise chevy and the ceremony was very unique.. 7 blessings were each read and performed by close family and friends {think the ukulele may have won!} followed by an enormous kiss as husband and wife! the reception was held in the barn and allowed guests to mingle inside and out and even feed the friendly horses apples! tables were dressed with wild flowers and burlap runners and red ribbons hung from branches holding guests seats. instead of numbers, tables were named after wine and homemade heirloom tomato sauces were given as gifts! a list of signature drinks including apple cider whiskey were displayed on slabs of wood that had been intricately wood burned and the beer was home brewed by the couple! {very cool} the couple made their way in for their first dance and performed a surprise duet - a karaoke of the song harvest moon! cake and french macarons were served for dessert and guests were invited to take a picture in the photobooth! such an amazing day for 2 truly incredible people.. the love was overwhelming! congrats r + a! xo
