melissa + paul 10.13.12

for this wedding my role was unique.. a guest, a bridesmaid, a photographer and a friend! melissa & paul were married on their neighbor's property just outside of quakertown, pa on a perfect {but chilly} saturday afternoon! it was a true diy event, complete with custom tent built by paul {and friends} and suburban camping co. even got in on the action and mr. macphee set up a cocktail tent and kids play tent! melissa chose a natural fall palette with the girls wearing shades of copper and carrying wild flower bouquets. the ceremony space was bordered by bales of hay for guests to sit and a heart made of rocks surrounded the couple as they recited their vows.. a band played the couple up and down the aisle too! followed by the best exit ever.. melissa + paul were whisked away in a hot air balloon in the neighboring field, where it left the 2 of them and all of us with a breathtaking view! {truly amazing and a complete surprise} the reception featured a full line up of music, with various stages and acts and an organic meal for all to enjoy! pumpkins with plantable labels served as place settings and cans were painted copper and filled with wild flowers! as the chill set in, fire pits were lit and cake was served {a cake in the shape of a 1 to symbolize the unity of the event} a big thanks to my husband chris for shooting with me on this day and a bigger thanks to this wonderful couple and all the positivity and love they exemplify in this world! xo - m + p!
