katie + greg 6.8.12

beach lovers katie + greg were married in the classic seashore town of cape may on a beautiful friday afternoon. the couple summers in the cute town and lives in maryland the remainder of the year. the couple chose the poppy colors of bright pink and kelly green and the girls wore j.crew. lots of heirloom touches like katie's hair piece made from her mother's wedding dress and and a lilly pullitzer theme with katie's grandmother's vintage dresses made into the ring bearer's pillow/teddy bear and the colorful material was also used to wrap the bride's bouquet! even the groom sported the designer's tie! photos were taken before the ceremony so the couple could enjoy their cocktail hour {love that!} and we boarded a trolley and made our way to a couple nearby beaches and quick stop {and drink!} at the rusty nail {their favorite bar!} even ruthie k + g's labradoodle made her debut for some pics on the beach! the ceremony took place at the ocean club hotel on the deck overlooking the ocean as guests fanned themselves with custom programs in the couple's color theme. the party continued at the hotel alcott, a beautiful space with southern charm. paper lanterns were strung in a courtyard while a guitar player sang some classics.. guests were invited to move around the property during cocktail hour with lots of spaces to choose from including the super quaint front porch! some awesome beach details included star fish strung with guests names and table numbers turned photos of the couple holding up signs of nearby beaches! my favorite touch was the custom made blue beach box with their new shared last name painted on the side that held guests cards! lots of dancing {and i mean lots, i think a few guys even lost their shirts} ended my evening with the fun couple! congrats k + g!
