kate + matt 8.13.11

when i arrived at rosebank winery kate was carrying her wedding gear in a vintage suitcase and matt was under the hood of a truck.. from that moment i knew this was going be an authentic and fun day! this is a little bit of what happens when an interior designer and a welder marry.. magic i think! the sweet as can be couple were married under a tree decorated with a chandelier and lanterns hanging from it's branches, metallic painted wine bottles tied with twine to wood declared the aisle and a band complete with a tambourine and xylophone played the couple up and down the aisle! the small wedding held inside and out.. tables were dressed to the nines.. a mix of rustic vintage finds and an industrial feel too! kate a designer did all the details herself, centerpieces were made up of old and new things.. books covered in canvas and wrapped in twine, mason jars painted silver, layers of jars with birds nests, succulents and candlesticks such a treat for the eyes! inside vintage filing drawers held the return envelopes from guests and more layers of drippy candles, books with covers removed and wine bottles. the wedding was cocktail inspired and guests were treated to artisanal cheeses, breads, shrimp and spreads. the cake was amazing, one of the most beautiful i've seen! made by katie levins.. email me if you want her info.. it was stunning! music on the couple's macbook by bands like radiohead and the breeders rocked the night away! such a treat to be able to document this couples day! lotsa luck and love guys!
