dana + bob 8.27.11

an uninvited guest showed up at dana & bob's wedding.. her name was irene and she brought with her gusty winds and history making rains! the hurricane was scheduled to hit on sunday, but had already caused plenty of commotion by the time dana and bob were to be married! the quick thinking d & b moved their nuptials up a day and the reception went off as planned the following day.. i had been looking forward to their big day for months {make that a year!} and knew it would be nothing short of amazing despite the weather! the adorable couple married at fernbrook farms a beautiful inn on acres of farm land and the festivities scheduled to be alfresco were moved into the warmly decorated inn and a big white tent! dana an artist for anthropologie {i know.. how cool!} did all the details herself including confetti in vellum envelopes sealed with a stitch and paper heart, bouquets were placed in jars wrapped in fabric that matched throughout the wedding including the custom made bridesmaids clutches! speaking of bridesmaids they wore sherbert hues of coral, yellow and dusty rose.. and the guys looked dapper in vests and striped ties. during the ceremony lines were recited from steel magnolias {best movie ever.. i love weeza!} the reception had lots of special touches like a classic photo booth and the signature cocktail a "dark & stormy" guests found their seats by a wall of ball jars perfectly printed with their names and a candle in each.. dana's dad even made the wedding cake and despite the wet brick floor everyone danced til the end! before it was time to brave the storm and head home.. guests were treated to milk & cookies, mini cupcakes and blueberry cheesecake bars.. yum! dana & bob have such a great spirit and you can see by their faces they are truly in love, even a silly thing like a hurricane could would not keep them from having a wedding sure to go down in the record books, a story to be passed on for generations in the family and definitely one of my faves to shoot! xo guys!
