sarah + sean 6.4.11

the very swanky sarah and sean were married on {that's right on, not at!} a super unique location! the peking barque- a tall ship docked at south street seaport in nyc! the couple got prepped at the gild a very cool hotel in the financial district filled with books, antler chandeliers and leather furniture! sarah's girls wore knee length teal dresses and held bouquets of pink flowers. sarah left her options opened and had 3 pairs of shoes to choose from, she picked the coral colored ones! we then walked to the ship for some fun shots and for the start of the ceremony! musicians serenaded guests as they boarded the boat and the ceremony was kept short and sweet! a plush hippo made his surprise debut as ring bearer! the reception continued for lunch at the mermaid inn, keeping with the modern nautical theme of the day! crab cakes, whale tale beer and salmon was served! {yum!} guests were given homemade soaps as gifts and a taschen art book of shells served as the guest book. a very funny and well thought out speech by one groomsman and a surprise fudgy the whale grooms cake for sean from sarah had everyone cracking up! after lunch ended we hopped into a private car to take us around the city for some fun portraits, stopping at the seaport, tribeca and ending in the meatpacking district in an amazing home decorating store {i think sarah and i wanted to shop!} a rooftop party wass hosted at a friends building and what a view.. amazing! although it started to drizzle a bit during the photos, giving everyone a scare, the skies cleared for a beautiful sunset! such a special couple and what a unique day.. so happy for them!
