laura + mike 6.25.11

the beautiful red head laura and dapper mike were married on a perfect saturday afternoon in iconic asbury park! they got ready at the swanky berkeley hotel across from convention hall. their very sweet beach ceremony took place with lots of onlookers cheering them on from the bar above. the groomsmen went barefoot and laura's girls wore bright teal tafetta. the bride even had some of her students attend {she is a teacher} and had surfboard shaped cookies to give them! asbury is not short on awesome places to get pics and we found some fun spots in the boardwalk including a boardwalk photo studio called sea pia where we were able to use some of their props, including the classic asbury park sign and they even had a school desk perfect for laura's profession. the reception was held at the supper club styled mcloone's overlooking the boardwalk.. a school of dolphin even went by during cocktail hour.. so cool! traditional vases were replaced with canvas beach bags filled with flowers and seating cards looked like oversized beach badges labeled after all the nearby beach towns.. laura and mike were fittingly at the asbury park table! {they had their save the dates match.. so cute!} the couple served a signature drink a fun blue cocktail called the tipsy tillie and after dinner cotton candy was spun on the balcony! a beautiful wedding and couple, could not have had more fun at this one! congrats guys! have a blast in tahiti!
