allison + joe 5.29.11

what can i say about allison and joe.. 3 words: loving, laid back and super fun! {ok that's 5!} the day started @ allison's house in red bank where beardsley the cutest pooch ever ran away from my camera and the girls got ready! we then headed to sandy hook chapel to get dressed and ready for the big day.. a & j had a romantic meet up before we started with the portraits, now this is where it gets interesting! we hopped on a bus to check out a few spots for pics {some really amazing buildings} and were greeted by hundreds, strike that thousands of swarming mosquitos! and these weren't typical jersey ones, these had some serious teeth and were relentless! we ventured onto a new spot only to find more of the little buggers.. yikes! we managed to find a spot close to the water where they left us alone and got some cool shots! p.s. this group were troopers.. bitten and itchy but we perservered and ended up having an amazing day! a lemonade and fruit punch stand was set up for guests as they arrived. mason jars with chalkboard tags to be used throughout the night. the ceremony took place overlooking the water and it was magical.. the couple walked back up the aisle as husband and wife to the song home by edward sharpe.. awesome! the cocktail hour was held in the chapel with some amazing golden light pouring thru the windows. a tented reception followed {my favorite!} hot pink cupcakes with "i do" flags, burlap banners and colored glass held menu cards in place.. a few beautiful first dances, one where allison's mom and sister even joined.. so sweet! some awesome music courtesy of dj nyc.. they played adele and modest mouse! it was truly a wonderful day and i'm so glad i was able to spend it with this super in love couple!
