jenn + matt 5.14.11

the adorable jenn and matt were married in the westhamptons on an unpredictable weather day! peeks of sun and mostly clouds, but the rain managed to stay away until the very end of the wedding! and what a wedding it was.. ahhmazing! the ceremony was held at a church just up the road from matt's parents and the reception was at the westhampton country club a beautiful space. i also covered the rehearsal dinner held at trumpets at the gate a venue right on the water in eastport! {where chris, my dutiful husband and assistant managed to wrangle a loose boat floating away from a dock.. my hero.. ha!} after the ceremony we headed out in the vintage style trolley for some pics at rogers beach and found a surf club up the road with the perfect shade of turquoise paint! the wedding was beautiful, flowers, flowers and more flowers.. did i mention flowers?! the family is 1800flowers, literally, matt's dad is james mccann! {wow!} it was overflowing in tall glass centerpieces, in vases on tables, in window boxes, on mantles..{the couple even had their initials in flowers!} it was truly spectacular! the equally awesome jes gordon {planner extraordinaire!} and her team did a fabulous job with the details! the seating cards lay on a bed of flowers with ribbons and votives hanging above, a candy table with layers of glass jars, boxes of specialty chocolates {yum!} and cellophane bags with jenn and matt's monogram. the guest book was designed as a rack of postcards for guests to fill out well wishes and pop in the mailbox set beside it.. super cute! the wedding had the best band ever - starlight orchestra which got everybody dancing the whole night.. one of the best dance parties, i've seen in awhile! some sweet toasts and a funny moment when matt's brother compared the wedding to the royals by calling him and his brother the prince william and harry of the floral industry.. so funny! it was a phenomenal wedding and i wish jenn and matt all the best! xo!
