last month my hubby and i took a last minute trip to the berkshires in mass! we stayed @ an amazing place called the porches - victorian row houses once lived in by mill workers and their families and transformed into vintage style, upscale suites! the room had lots of goodies like bathrobes, jacuzzi tub, handmade soaps and paint by number artwork! communal spaces like a living room with comfy furniture and fireplace and breakfast room with fresh bread, homemade granola, fresh fruit and local coffee made the stay so unique! the inn is located directly across the street from the largest contemporary art museum in the country - mass moca! a 300,000 square foot mill turned working art space.. absolutely awesome! the area was full of lots of cute towns with shops and eateries and even the town norman rockwell was famous for painting and we visited a working farm complete with baby cows! and a stunning ending - a double rainbow! such a nice getaway before the holidays, ready for another one... next stop asheville, north carolina!
