the bubbly couple kristen & randy were married on a perfect saturday afternoon at windows on the water @ frogsbridge.. a beautiful wedding location on the grounds of a daycamp.. so cool! this wedding was chock full of details, a full on diy wedding extravaganza! i have been following along with kristen's facebook and know how hard she worked for the past year for this day and it was so worth it! the colors were navy, light blue and yellow and the inspiration a little bit mickey {they love disney} a little martha {super crafty} with a garden wedding feel! starting with the ceremony they did something i have not seen before, the wedding party served as the officiants and each read from a book the couple created, so personal, the kids carried signs welcoming the bride, paper garland hung with daisies and the word love, and fabric wreaths anchored the couple as they said their vows! mickey made subtle appearances in the flowers, on kristen's converse and in the form of buttons on seating and centerpieces. the guys had subtle hockey references like wooden hockey sticks in their boutonierres and randy and his best man wore a c and an a just like the players {captain and assistant}. favors were various jars filled treats representing different moments in the couple's relationship for instance gumballs for the meadowlands fair k+r's first date.. super creative! a tablecloth that kristen's grandmother had been making for the wedding covered the couple's table and a photo table held pictures and candles of close family and friends that have since passed. a photobooth with lots of fun props and the cupcakes.. oh the cupcakes, smores, lemondrop, black and white just to name a few were dessert.. yum! after some heartfelt toasts and some tears there was the couple's favorite band thunder cheese who rocked the party out, everyone danced their butts off! i'm forgetting about a million more details at this wedding, it was truly inspiring and i am so happy to have been able to work with kristen + randy on this amazing big day! congrats guys! lotsa love and luck!

Absolutely beautiful. I am so honored to have been able to witness (and help assemble) all the 101 details that were put into this wedding. Every little bit had a special significance. The pictures are stunning!
Kella, you truly are an amazing photographer! I knew the wedding pics were gonna be great (considering we used tractors and sprinkles as props!) but they really are fantastic! Thank you for capturing my sister's beautiful wedding as only you could - perfectly. If I am ever lucky enough to find my soul mate, you can bet you'll be getting a phone call!
just beautiful! love a country wedding!
