lauren + jordan 11.7.09

the adorable lauren + jordan were married at the breathtaking casa kimball in the dominican republic! when i first saw pictures of the location, i knew the wedding would be one of a kind.. the modern architecture, clean lines and open air style were absolutely stunning. the creative and super talented couple lauren of lithe method and jordan of finch brands were a perfect fit for the venue... super laid back and so easy to work with! so chris and i bought our tickets and decided to make a vacation out of the trip... the night before the wedding a bbq/bonfire was held at a private beach near casa kimball. under the palms were pillows, blankets and ottomans for guests to relax. drinks were served in coconuts, local musicians played under the stars and a bonfire {a big one} lit the sky after dinner.. it was awesome! the next day we walked into casa kimball and lost our breath.. an infinity pool, guests swimming and radiohead playing, the scene was surreal and we were definitely not cool enough to be there : ) the locals were a pair of very cute cats and a dog that wandered the property. the girls wore cream colored dresses- all unique and the guys were dressed in silver grey suits. the intimate wedding- only close family and friends in attendance started under a beautiful hupah made from a cream colored crochet and held up with rustic wood and tied with rope. chairs were decorated with tropical flowers and the view was a turqouise ocean as far as the eye could see... amazing! portaits were taken after the ceremony and we had to stop ourselves.. there were so many great spots, I could have spent all day taking their pics. {as you can see they are super photogenic!} dinner was held at long tables under paper lights and traditional dominican food was served. tropical flowers took centerstage in various local tin food containers- it was beautiful and so unique! a famous cigar roller was on hand making cigars and local musicians played for guests that eventually ended up rolling up their pants and dancing in the pool! so many new experinces and memories made.. this was the ultimate way to end a wedding season! i am honored to have been chosen to document this awesome couple's wedding in this far away land.. it was truly magical! congrats guys!
