michelle + dan 7.18.09

michelle & dan's wonderful wedding took place at the stone house @ stirling ridge.. an absolutely gorgeous location! it was sunny, the couple adorable and the wedding straight out of a magazine! the girls wore sweet green dresses and the guys in suits with corsages made from rosemary and fiddle heads.. so cool! nothing was left out at this wedding... they covered everything from the beautiful programs and fans for the ceremony to one of my favorites aspects of the day, candles in lanterns in remembrance of dan's parents burned all throughout the day into the night... it was very special. one of the themes of the day was herbs and so each table was named after one like saffron, thyme and chives, equally yummy were the unique favors on each table... handmade cookbooks! each cookbook contained special recipes from the couples' family kitchen.. such a great idea! 2 little birds also played a role in the day and were seen throughout on table cards, labels and matching fabric birds were placed atop the fabulous cake! seating cards on sticks in galvanized trays of grass {one of my faves} and butcher blocks for guests to sign! the reception came alive with the infamous jersey shore band brian kirk and the jerks, sparklers, cupcakes, mini ice cream bars and milkshakes passed as guests danced the night away... there were also buckets of flipflops for achy feet! {told you they did not miss a thing!} for the end of the night, cigars and personalized matches were waiting outside by the huge fire ring! oh and for the morning after first aid kits with all the necessities including: bloody mary mix, chocolate and vodka.. so clever! this wedding was a joy to shoot, such a wonderful couple and such unbelievable details, i wish m + d lotsa love and fun on their honeymoon!
