when i first met this couple i knew they were going to be a blast to work with and then when they wanted to go ice skating for their e-shoot... i was super excited to shoot their big day! kristin + rich were married at a small church in bayhead and had their reception held at the swanky molly pitcher! the girls wore black dresses and held fuchsia bouquets, the guys {and one girl!} wore modern suits. rich mixed it up with a classic bow tie and blue tipped shoes and kristin wore a vintage inspired lace dress with gold flats... gorgeous! they traveled by bus and vintage car to the beach and molly for pics... where we got creative with sand pails, puddles and green apples! their chemistry is amazing and so their pics were truly effortless! the reception was dripping with hot pink flowers and tables named after the couples' favorite restaurants including surf taco! a favorite detail of the day was using the book the missing piece as the guest book! a theme throughout was a pair of tattoo style swallows on the cake and an ice sculpture! no doubt a tribute to the couples' rock n roll vibe! a beautiful first dance that had the crowd clapping to the music, moving toasts, and some performances by the groom's brother singing lauren hill's killing me softly! the bride also got in the action dancing on the speaker to journey's don't stop believing and diving into the crowd... yes, i'm serious.. this was a first and absolutely hilarious! another first was rich's dad missing the cake cutting and having a re-do!! this wedding was like being at a rock concert and was so much fun! i loved every minute with this couple and wish them lots of love!
