sonya + mark 9.28.08

sonya + mark were married in lbi on the beach and had their reception at the sea oaks golf club! we started shooting at sonya's parent house by the beach, which was chock full of fun things to shoot! sonya wore a vintage inspired satin + lace dress with vintage jewelry! the ceremony was beautiful with turquoise paint brushes for guests to clean their feet and hand made programs! the weather was definitely on the cloudy side, but we hoped it would hold off for their beach ceremony... it didn't ... there were umbrellas and a wet wedding dress, but this couple was amazing! they didn't complain once.. they even stayed out in the rain for a few pics! they then whisked themselves off in a bright yellow thunderbird- restored by sonya's dad! the reception was blue and brown with handmade touches throughout, including a guest book bound by sonya... the highlight of the event.. an old fashioned photo booth! all the guests had a chance to get their pic taken and the best part.. these machines now print out 2 copies, one for the couple and one for the guests... great! me and my 2nd shooter amy couldn't resist and jumped in ourselves! it was a truly unique and inspiring event! lots of luck to s + m!
