so.. i'm back from my great northwest adventure and it was a blast! the journey began in portland oregon where we visited a lavender farm, ate organic peaches, enjoyed croissants.. yum, shopped all the hip neighborhoods, scaled mount hood.. by car anyway, meditated in the park, smelled the roses, drank really strong coffee and truly did find the end to a few rainbows. the 2nd part of the journey was a drive down to the redwoods where we really roughed it in a cabin.. with restaurants nearby of course, we walked thru larger than life trees.. literally, watched elk graze, traveled the lost coast.. where driving off the side of a mountain at any minute was a very likely possibility, saw cows on the beach, blazed new trails and swam in the river.. ok so we walked up to our ankles. the 3rd leg of this adventure was down in san francisco. we drove thru wine country along the way, rode the bus, hiked, yes hiked up the streets of san fran.. those streets are steep, visited the local sea lions at the pier, made muscles in front of alcatraz, biked the golden gate bridge and found our inner flower child on haight + asbury.
over 1,600 miles driven in a compact car and many memories to boot! here are a few pics of our trip!

Wow these are really really great and so fun.
Kella, these images are absolutely beautiful! My favorite one is of the cows. When Mark and I went out to the country in Virginia last year, there were tons of milk cows everywhere and I decided that someday I will have a cow. We need a yard first though :)
Glad you and your hubbie had a nice trip!
