lauren + shunji elope in nyc! 1.16.09

lauren & shunji had contacted me just days before their i-dos and i was immediately thrilled to shoot their unique, last minute and very new york nuptuals! it was a great morning at the brand spanking new marriage bureau in the heart of the big apple, a very cold and i do mean cold morning i think it was about 9 degrees! they braved the elements and we went outside for some quick pics! l + s had close friends join them, which was so cute. it was intimate but also very public which made for a really neat atmosphere! there was something very sweet about all these couples waiting in line for their number to be called so eager to be married! a big congrats to l + s and a big thanks for sharing their unique day with me!

brides magazine asked 2 photographers their favorite venues in the philly area! i was one of the lucky 2 and chose jeanette and matt's wedding spot the philadelphia indepenedence visitor's center and rachel and jason's rockwood park location in wilmington delaware! so exciting!

leigh + jonathan 1.2.09

leigh + jonathan were married at the mill in spring lake on a friday evening! the light was beautiful for the ceremony and the pre-reception shots! {this is why sunset weds are best!} the couple was amazing and leigh wore a handmade dress with beautiful embroidery! though i only spent a couple hours shooting, i think the atmosphere of this wonderful wedding was captured! congrats guys!

just finished an amazing book!

thought I would share.. this book came out in 2006 and somehow I never heard about it... my mom had lent it to me the other day and by the next day I had read it cover to cover.. could not put it down! if you're in the mood for a very sad and moving story of a journey between a father and son in a post-apocalyptic world, this will do the trick! {the movie comes out this year and stars viggo mortensen and kodi mcphee- funny!}
